Northern Quolls have become endangered in recent years due to the introduction of the Cane Toad to Australia, which is poisonous when eaten. Cat attacks are frequent as well, killing mothers and leaving orphaned young which need to be taken into care.
Their main diet is made up of insects and fruit but given the chance will eat small mammals, birds and lizards.
