Eastern Tube-Nosed Bats are a lesser species of Megabat, they are fairly solitary bats which is uncommon as most bats are quite social. These small bats are listed as vulnerable due to habitat loss because of its preference to live in the rainforest.
The spots of their wings vary from bat to bat and are as individual as a fingerprint.
It is a form of camouflage which mimics dappled sunlight as they hide, wrapped up under leaves during the day.
